Last Halloween, an anonymous BFC member sent me a short story idea set in Saint-Tremblé and featuring little Nanette. I liked the idea and told him so, and he decided he wanted to commission it. It so happened that Centurion_115, a friend from Discord, commissioned a new Saint-Tremblé character the very next month. So I put the two together for this story!
Feeling down after her string of losses, Nanette looks to reinvigorate herself by re-embracing the mindset of a student. Not a warrior ready for combat but a rookie in training who still has a lot to learn. To kickstart her restart of education, she takes to observing others fight and learning the tricks and timings of a battle.
As if destined, she learns of an opportunity she can’t pass: Someone called out the Queen of Saint-Tremblé! Using her knowledge of the island, Nanette sneaks her way to the beach where the battle is to take place and finds a ‘seat’ where she can hide and observe the battle as a secret observer.
