This was excellent!
This reminded me of the Sophie/Melanie bar fight from a while back. I liked the subtlety of their competition, keeping it on the DL because they’re in a public place adds something to the intensity of the conflict.
From a storytelling point of view this was also excellent as it adds to the continuing arc of Desiree’s conflict with Tania, as she slowly makes her way through the ranks of the BWL/BSF regulars on her way to Tania, building anticipation of their eventual confrontation. There aren’t to many ongoing arcs like this, so it’s interesting to see how you have been developing this over such a long period of time, slowly building up Desiree and making her such a formiable foe for Tania…this fight really raises the stakes!
I also really liked all the character development you got in for Prudie, one of my favorite recurring characters. Her complex relationship with her mother makes for some great storytelling! I like that while she claims she doesn’t care what happens to Tania, she still tries to defend her on some level.
It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out…keep up the good work!
