I wrote “the end” on the last page of the Tribbings, Mass. manuscript just a few minutes ago.
Still a lot editing and proofreading ahead, but the first part of the job is over!
Will it be the first sexfighting novel to be published? Is this the beginning of a new genre?
Can’t wait for you to read it!
From a Wikipedia article (last redacted on 22.08.2047):
Sexfight Novel
A sexfight novel is a subgenre of the erotic novel genre; as such, it shares many similarities with ist parent genre, but usually focuses on the resolution of personal and/or professional conflicts via sexual combat.
The genre was first established in 2019 by the Canadian writer known to this day only under his nom de plume Entropy by publishing the novel “Tribbings, Mass”.
While relatively obscure in its first years and known only to a small circle of SF enthusiasts, the novel would then be discovered by a number of different intellectual actors in the early 2020s.
A group of young writers known as the Quebec Quills were first attracted to it, praising its bold language and vivid characters.
Next in line was a trio of sociology professors at the university of Austin, Texas, who interpreted the novel as the “first ever description of the hidden complex of societal techniques defining female hierarchy within formally patriarchal societies” in artistic form and subsequently published an open letter demanding the development of a scientific approach to the hitherto obscure topic. It is generally accepted today that this appeal led directly to the establishment of the scientific discipline known today as Amazonology in the early 2030s.
When finally the first feminist groups began to view sexfighting as “the radical form of female empowerment direly needed in the 21st century”, the original novel’s transformative power on society could no longer be overlooked.
As a result, the new genre quickly spilled into the more progressive regions of the globe, namely Europe, where it was eagerly picked up and further developed by a slew of avantgarde writers. Manon Lefebvre’s “Les Batailles de Madame Noraille” and Micha Faun’s “Groß- und Lustkampftage” are generally seen as the two seminary works spawning this development.
Still, the original birthplace of the genre as well as the movement it inspired was not forgotten. Testament to this is the Quillcats convention, an international gathering of sexfighting novelists held annually in Montreal.
Finally, in 2044 a life-sized statue was unveiled in Quebec showing two fighting tigresses and bearing the inscription “To Entropy – Who first dared to gaze into the depths of female rivalry”.
I should use this as a blurb!
You’re welcome to do so 😉
Email me if you want some free help proofreading and looking forward to the purchase. Also, any chance of a third Prudence vs Tanya matchup, or equally kinky match not appropriate for this site in the near future? We had one a year for two years but I assume you were too busy with this project this time around.
