Grasshopper

BXS-94_CoverAfter Prudence got beaten by her mom in an octagon fight, she was forced to get her dreads cut and her hair redone in a “Tania-approved” style. But that defeat didn’t dampen her resolve to join the hard-fighting, no-holds-barred wrestling league. So she asked a veteran to give her some pointers and train her. And Kim agreed to show her the ropes. So today, Prudie joins Kim in her own basement for a lesson she won’t soon forget.

  1. Nice to see Prudence back. I could go either way on her new hair model… I’m just sort of ambivalent. While not a huge fan of the dreads, I felt they at least gave her character and separated her from the other girls, while the new hairstyle is sort of plain.

But even that sort of works as a story element; the dreads were an attempt to establish an identity for herself, and her lose and the new style chosen by her mother are an attempt to force an identity on her that she’s already rejected. Prudence’ battle is to reclaim her own identity and be acknowledged as an adult and an individual.

If you want to get philosophical, that is.

  2. I think it’s a pity that Prudence had to cut her dreads. As ForeShadow said, it gave her character and separated her.
I liked the little punk with dreads, chucks and a miniskirt. Now with her new haircut and in that purple string bikini she looks a lot like the other girls or even her mom (don’t tell her that though).
